Colonial Inn Ogunquit, Ogunquit

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the lovely view of the ocean. The lobby was beautifully decorated with fresh cut flowers, giving it a nice touch. The service was extremely polite and helpful, and the staff even recommended a great place for dinner. The location was perfect, allowing me to relax on the porch and enjoy the views of the sea and beaches beyond. The dining experience was amazing, with delicious offerings that exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

The hotel offers above us with tasteful, modern decor and spa-like bathrooms. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed, although a bit older. The service provided is excellent with friendly and kind staff, and the complimentary breakfast is good. The location is terrific, making it convenient to explore Ogunquit on foot, especially with the beach foot trail close by.

The dining experience exceeded my expectations, with a well-stocked continental breakfast and a lovely veranda setting. Overall, a great stay with some minor room for improvement.

The hotel had a room with a lovely view of a gas tank which wasn't ideal, but the room itself was large, nicely furnished, well-kept, and very clean with plenty of towels and space to put all our things. However, the ventilation was lacking which made it feel a bit stuffy at times. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, being close to Ogunquit Beach, Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, and the town's restaurants. When it came to dining, the breakfast spread was delicious with homemade oatmeal and muffins, fresh cut-up pineapple and melons, and generous choices. However, as expected in the springtime, there wasn't much happening in terms of dining options. The hotel offered facilities with a little sitting area but was missing some additional amenities.

The hotel is like a hidden gem, tucked away at a distance from the main house and up a flight of stairs, offering lovely and comfortable rooms with cozy beds. The service is impeccable with a standout manager, Taylor Trainer, ensuring a warm and accommodating stay. The location is charming and convenient, allowing easy access to Ogunquit, Perkins Cove, and the beautiful Maine coast. The dining experience, while good and well-maintained, could be improved in terms of variety. Overall, a serene retreat with great value for money.
